For some reason on our profile Comments page/tab -- comments are no longer showing up chronologically (with most recent at top, or whatever).  They must be sorting by some other factor I can't determine.  I first notice this when I posted on Chicago Mike's comment page, and it put my comment down three or four deep immediately.  So I checked my comment page, and several others, and all the comments are showing not-in-date order.

It did it again!?? I wonder what is causing your comment order to get out of sync like that?

I think it's just temporary database glitches or the way the javascript loaded on your computer that day. Just one of the many things that usually work themselves out ....

When dealing with technology... I've learned that I'll never get to the why or reason of things. Just shrug it off as "technology."

You know -- I should know that! ;) Since I work for a technology helpdesk. LOL. I get tired of people asking me "why" -- yet sometimes it is also my job to find out why -- so it is normal for me to think it and try to problem-solve.

(and you were right, of course, by the way Jordanne). I discovered it was only doing it when I was accessing the site using Google Chrome as a web browser. It doesn't appear that way now that I switched over the I.E. for this site. So obviously it was my own system; and/or interaction between that page's code and Google Chrome. All better.

Yeah I know... I groaned when Google Chrome came out.... one more browser to test on and be compatible with! Grrr.
